Forage & Beach Boil Up

Did you know that blueberries are very high in antioxidants? And that raspberries contain more vitamin C than oranges? Foraging in the summer and fall is great for kids, foodies and hikers. This tour offers everything you need to know to safely gather, prepare and cook the unique flavours found only in nature. On this adventure, you will spend time foraging for ingredients that you will use in a meal at the boil-up, outside over an open fire. Your meal will also include samples of salt fish, lobster, capelin, cod cheeks, cod tongues, moose, mussels or cod.  Each sampling will be accompanied by homemade bread, buns and preservatives.

Duration: 3.0 -4.0 hours

Activity level: Two options are available, depending on your activity level. Leisurely/moderate to hard with opportunities for rest stops.
